    So this is not going to be a real update of the blur of what was the past couple months; I can blame Hank for keeping my SD card for so long with crucial pictures including the wheel falling off catastrophe…

    but a quick update…

    So I have decided to pay homage to the URQ by sporting a replica decal kit, and since Hank won’t have his on yet, I figure I’ll take these down for him. 😀
    I also was trying to draw attention from my botched pearl paint job. I’ll either redo it with the leftover supplies or paint it another color altogether, as the paint is rubbish in general.

    So, I now have the stress inducing issue of driving a car with only about 75 miles on thus far. No major issues…yet.

    I do have a problem I would like some input on. Motorgeekers, help!

    After the car is warmed up, and doesn’t seem to be noticeable when cold, there is a rattling noise that I *believe* could be related to the tranny input shaft bearing. No noise when the clutch is depressed, but when released, and the flywheel is spinning the input shaft in neutral, there is this rattling noise. Maybe gets worse as the oil gets warm and less viscous. I just did a fresh refill of tranny fluid, which didn’t seem to help. I’m not looking for a failure half way between SLC and Vegas. I don’t want my clutch to fly apart, etc.

    Details:
    Don’t remember the tranny making noise before, but I haven’t actually heard it run in over 4 years;
    New AL flywheel, Spec Stage 3 clutch, new throwout bearing, and pilot bearing in flywheel;
    It seems to have been doing it since I got it back on the road, but doesn’t seem to be any worse;

    The car also likes to stall, but I will get into that more later as I can *deal* with that. Lots of little minor issues as one would expect at this point.

    Any experience here on the tranny noise/suggestions of things to check?
