We specialize in providing custom designed instruments to improve surgical procedures and introduce procedural variations to improve the patients’ and/or doctors’ operation experience. We have provided engineering designs and prototype instruments for a variety of knee and hip implant products and services.
We can work directly with the doctors or through pharmaceutical and medical equipment suppliers to understand the requirements and provide engineered solutions to improve the operating procedures. This can be realized in the overall success of the procedure, the reduction in discomfort or recovery time for the patient, or a reduction in the difficulty of the procedure from the doctors’ perspectives. Typical materials for tooling include 17-4 H900 Passivated SS, 6Al-4V Titatium Alloys, and Acetal Copolymers. Sterilization, Laser Etching, and Passivation are typically applied to prototype tooling.
